The European Union Ambassador to Libya, Nicola Orlando, affirmed the bloc's support for Libya's stability, moving towards implementing elections and enhancing security and economic cooperation between the two sides.

Orlando's remarks came during a meeting with Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah on Tuesday after assuming his new position as EU ambassador to Libya.

The two parties discussed strengthening their partnership on irregular migration and cooperation on renewable energy, per a previous agreement between Dbeibah and the EU Foreign Policy Chief, Josep Borrell.
