President Mohammed Menfi of the Presidential Council (PC) has commended the role of the EU mission in supporting development projects, the Libyan political process, and the national reconciliation project on the principle of partnership.
Menfi's comments came during talks he had with the EU Ambassador to Libya, Jose Sabadell, following Monday's meeting that brought together the Berlin Working Group in Tripoli.
Sabadell said the meeting of the Berlin group in Tripoli is a step towards strengthening national ownership, as he stressed the importance of having the PC sponsoring these tracks to achieve stability and peace throughout the country.
The European Union supports development projects in Libya and continues to provide technical assistance to various sectors, the PC media office quotes the EU diplomat as saying.
