The European Union (EU) confirmed its absolute readiness to provide any form of support for a productive ceasefire procedure, in close coordination with the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), whenever it may be requested of them to do so.

In a statement, the EU also welcomed the recent endeavours to resume oil production and stride towards the achievement of transparency in the management of oil revenues amongst all regions of the country.

“The EU is prepared to take any restrictive measures against any entity obstructing the various tracks of the Berlin process, including the implementation of the UN arms embargo on Libya,” read the statement.
