FAO: Libya remains among countries with high rates of food insecurity

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) said that Libya is among 41 countries that are still in need of external food assistance, due to the ongoing conflict and the large influx of refugees from neighbouring countries.
Conflicts are the main cause of high levels of food insecurity, as well as poor weather conditions; both reduce the availability of food for millions of people, according to the latest FAO report.
