Coronavirus cases in Libya have increased significantly, and the current situation indicates the possibility of Libya entering the fifth wave of the pandemic, says an official at the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC), Ibrahim Al-Daghis.

"The elderly and sick will be at risk from infection with the virus, as the number of people who received anti-Corona vaccines is still low," Al-Daghis said.

The NCDC had announced that it registered a rise in Coronavirus cases since the beginning of July, while no fatalities had been recorded so far.
