The spokesman for the Libyan Navy, Ayoub Qasim, stated on Wednesday that a Coast Guard patrol rescued ninety illegal immigrants off the coast of Sabratha.

Qasim said that the migrants originate from a range of African countries and included twenty women and nine children; all found on board a rubber boat.

He confirmed that the illegal immigrants were all handed over to Naser Detention Center in Zawiyah city.
