The Eye Hospital in Tripoli has received the first shipment of corneas from the United States, enabling surgeries for 55 patients in the Libyan capital.
The hospital announced that preparations are underway to expand the corneal transplant program to Al-Bayda and Tobruk in subsequent phases.
With 1,250 patients currently on the waiting list, the initiative aims to address critical medical needs and improve eye surgery services across Libya.
