The Benghazi Medical Center announced on Tuesday the death of five people resulting from poisoning caused by drinking adulterated Alcohol.

The center's emergency department received nine cases of alcohol poisoning, including five deaths, one who lost sight, and another kept connected to a ventilator, while two cases were undergoing dialysis sessions in the intensive care unit.

It also added that drinking adulterated alcohol, which often contains toxic substances such as methanol, poses a major threat to public health.
