The Food and Drug Control Center released Monday shipments of the Sputnik V vaccine, estimated to be approximately half a million doses.

According to a statement by the Director of the Media Office of the center, Mohamed Al-Zayat, the shipment was supplied on July 19 arriving through Mitiga International Airport.

Al-Zayat stated that the shipment was released having undergone laboratory procedures at the center’s drug control laboratories for physical, chemical, and bacterial analysis, following approval of its conformity to the specifications and was suitable for consumption by humans.
