Foreign and defence ministers of Libya's neighbouring countries will hold a meeting in the Nigerian capital Niamey next Friday, to discuss the security of common borders.
According to sources, the meeting will consider the joint agreement on securing borders, signed last May, between Sudan, Libya, Niger, and Chad, as well as combating organized and transnational crime in the Sahel.
The Sudanese capital, Khartoum has hosted last week, a ministerial meeting of Libyan neighbours, attended by UN envoy to Libya Ghassan Salame, and with the participation of the Arab League, the European Union, and the African Union, as well as France and Italy.
