The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Government of National Unity (GNU), Taher Al-Baour, has discussed with the Special Representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa Maksym Subkh, ways to strengthen bilateral relations and the mechanism for activating the work of the Ukrainian-Libyan Committee, including conducting political consultations between the two sides.
This came during a meeting held in Tripoli on Tuesday, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting touched on resuming the work of the Ukrainian embassy and carrying out its work from the capital, Tripoli, as soon as possible.
Subkh confirmed his country’s desire to activate bilateral cooperation agreements with Libya in a way that serves common interests, adding that he handed Al-Baour a written message from the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, extending an invitation to him for an official visit to Ukraine.
