The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity has denied any communication between Libyan officials and US President Donald Trump’s administration regarding the deportation of migrants to Libya.

In a statement issued Thursday, the ministry said, “These claims have no basis in any official source or documentation, and their circulation is part of a deliberate propaganda campaign aimed at diverting attention from the legitimate calls to reveal the fate of MP Ibrahim Al-Darsi.”

The statement reaffirmed the ministry’s firm position against the transfer or resettlement of migrants, as well as the use of Libyan territory as a substitute for externally imposed solutions.
