The Public Prosecution has detained the former Libyan Chargé d'Affairs in South Korea and the Financial Controller of the Diplomatic Mission in Seoul on charges of embezzlement of public funds.
This came after the Public Prosecutor’s Office received a supervisory report that included evidence of financial imbalance in the Libyan diplomatic mission in Seoul, which forced the Public Prosecution to file a lawsuit against the Chargé d'Affairs and the Mission's Financial Controller.
