The Public Prosecutor Office has announced the initiation of legal proceedings against a former financial auditor at Libya’s mission in Bangladesh, after he was handed over by the International Criminal Police, for unlawfully disbursing $500,000 in violation of existing regulations.
After investigations, it was confirmed that he had deliberately misused the funds, despite the expiration of his assignment and the termination of his employment relationship during the specified period, leading the prosecutor to order his pretrial detention pending further investigation.
