The Administration of Jufara Al-Hasawneh Water System of the Man-Made River in the southern region said that four wells were vandalized by unknown persons and declared them out of service.

On its Facebook page, the administration explained that the vandals cut off the cables, which measure the temperature of the pumps and ultimately led to the malfunction of the wells.

The Director of the Information Office of the Man-Made River System, Tawfiq al-Shuwihdy, clarified in a press statement Friday that 100 wells of Jufara Al-Hasawna system were vandalized, which resulted in losing nearly 100 thousand cubic meters of water per day, warning of the possibility of having water cuts in some cities if such acts are not prevented.
