Jufra Security Directorate announced on Saturday the discovery of four bodies buried in mass graves in the desert between al-Ghani oil field and the city of Zella.
It said in a statement that initial investigations revealed that the bodies belonged to unidentified individuals, with no identification papers or belongings to facilitate their identification.
The directorate suggested that the cause of death was either a traffic accident in the desert or a criminal act, noting that investigations and medical and physiological analyses are ongoing to determine the identities of the four individuals and the cause of their death.
