The French Ambassador to Libya, Mostafa Mihraje, renewed on Monday his country’s readiness to provide technical and advisory support, which enhances the readiness of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC) to implement the expected elections.
This came during his visit to the HNEC HQ, meeting with the HNEC Chairman, Imad Al-Sayeh.
Mihraje expressed his government’s appreciation for the HNEC efforts aimed at holding the elections in accordance with the highest international standards in force.
According to the HNEC, Mihraje’s visit comes within the framework of the international community’s support for the democratic process in Libya, and to review the level of the HNEC readiness to implement the 2024 municipal council elections.
