Brega Oil Marketing Company said that a fire broke out in a fuel transport pipeline between Tripoli and Zawiya refinery.
The company explained that fuel is available in the company's depots with large quantities and that supply operations are proceeding normally, insisting that rumours about fuel shortages due to the fire are totally unfounded.
It added that the explosion of the pipeline happened near Joudaim district, northeast of Zawiya city, in a farmer’s farm who said to be ploughing the land causing leakage of fuel.
The fire was fully controlled and the incident did not result in any casualties, the company confirmed, adding that the pipeline will be running again soon.
