The official spokesperson of the General Electricity Company, Wiam Al-Tayeb, has disclosed that most of the power turbines that had stopped due to low gas pressure caused by technical failure in the gas fields of Mellitah Company have been reoperated.

Al-Tayeb confirmed that the status of the national grid has returned to what it was before the technical failure that occurred Friday in the gas fields of the Mellitah Company.

Failure of the gas supply lines led to the suspension of power turbines at Zawiya, southern Tripoli, Al-Khums and Misurata stations, which led to the loss of 1,100 gigawatts of electricity production in the country.
