The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) announced on Monday the completion of the maintenance of Al-Hadba-Ein Zara transmission lines on the main road in Salahuddin region, which witnessed the most violent clashes in the recent days.

The GECOL explained that the transmission lines were severely damaged during the armed clashes, noting that the maintenance work included the extension of 400 meters of power lines between the towers 13 and 14, as well as 150 meters between the towers 17 and 18, in addition to the installation of a new ward.

The company expressed hope for the facilitated entry of crew workers to the areas south to southeast of Tripoli, which is an important source of energy transfer.
