The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) announced that its technician team managed Tuesday to put the third unit at Zawiya Steam Station back in operation.
"The unit will enter the network gradually, while work will continue to clean the seawater entrances of the first and second units of Zawiya station and the decommissioned unit at Misurata station, in preparation for their activation," company's media director, Mohammed Takouri explained.
The company had previously announced the suspension of the first, second, and third units of Al-Zawiya station due to technical issues caused by bad weather.
