German Ambassador to Libya, Oliver Owcza said that he was pleased to see the elected Municipal Council of Gharyan practice its work from within the city again.

Owcza said via Twitter that he wishes that Gharyan would not come under assault anymore; stating that he still holds pleasant memories of Gharyan during his visit to the city last March.

The elected Mayor of Gharyan announced the liberation of the city from the forces of Haftar on Thursday, confirming the return to the legitimacy of the state.
