The National Emergency Committee at the Ministry of Local Government of the Government of National Unity has developed an emergency plan to confront the challenges that may result from the flow of valleys and floods due to fluctuations in weather conditions and heavy rainfall in some areas.
Members of the committee agreed, during Thursday's meeting, to communicate and coordinate with the municipalities that may be affected in identifying urgent needs and working to provide them with the needs in coordination with the relevant state institutions, according to a statement by the ministry on its Facebook page.
It was also decided that the local call center 1415 would be the main room for managing emergency operations and rapid response, so that coordination operations would take place within it with the various parties concerned with responding to potential weather fluctuations, and distributing the various roles and responsibilities of individuals and parties concerned to ensure an effective and coordinated response.
