The Acting US Ambassador to Libya, Jeremy Brendt, met with Libyan officials in Tripoli on Tuesday to discuss the importance of safeguarding the independence of Libya’s key economic institutions, including the Central Bank, in efforts to enhance the country’s financial stability.
Brint met with Adel Jumaa, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs of the Government of National Unity, and Ibrahim Dbeibah, an advisor to the Prime Minister.
The discussions focused on the integrity of Libya’s technocratic institutions, which are seen as crucial for maintaining economic order in the country.
According to the US embassy on “X”, Brendt reaffirmed Washington’s support for the mediation efforts led by the United Nations.
