Government discusses situations of IDPs in extraordinary meeting
The Government of National Accord discussed during its third extraordinary meeting of the current year on Monday, the situation of displaced people from areas of clashes as a result of the aggression on Tripoli, as well as clashes in the south.
The meeting emphasized the need to find alternatives for the IDPs currently living at educational institutions before the beginning of the school year and to address their situation through municipalities and committees, in cooperation with NGOs.
The Government has agreed to reconstitute the Ministerial Committee for Displaced Persons formed by the Presidential Council (PC) resolution and to add some certain additional competencies to keep abreast of developments in the file.
Hundreds of IDPs are using schools and educational institutions as a shelter as Haftar's war on southern Tripoli goes on.
