The Presidential Council (PC) has formed a permanent committee for humanitarian affairs in the Libyan Army, consisting of five members of military and legal personals, as well as prosecutors, and to be in affiliation with the Chief of Staff.

The PC's decision provides that the committee will communicate with international organizations concerned with humanitarian affairs for mutual cooperation, coordination of humanitarian assistance, and to overcome difficulties in the files related to the wounded, missing and detained persons, in addition to holding training courses on international human rights law.

According to the resolution, the commission will serve as an advisory body for the Libyan Army in humanitarian affairs.
