Foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the European Union have affirmed their support for the United Nations' efforts to hold free, fair, and inclusive presidential and parliamentary elections in Libya.
The ministers issued a joint statement at the conclusion of the 26th session of the Gulf-European Ministerial Council in Brussels.
The Gulf-European Ministerial Council called on all parties to refrain from actions that undermine the political process and adhere to the results of the elections stressing the importance for all foreign fighters to leave the country without delay.
