Sources from the oasis town of Tazirbu, southeastern Libya, said an armed group believed to have links to ISIS, stormed the town’s police station on Friday evening and killed at least five police officers on duty in addition to three inmates.

The sources added that the attackers also abducted a number of locals including the acting mayor Mohammed Khir Allah and municipal member Hassan Salah before leaving the town.
