Haftar’s militias release former minister of parallel government after four years of capture
Victims Organization for Human Rights announced that Haftar’s militia has released the former minister of the interior of the parallel government in eastern Libya, Omar Al-Sinki, following a four-year arbitrary detention period in the infamous Qarnada prison.
The organization indicated that the former officer and minister, Omar Salem Al-Sinki, returned to his home in Misrata on Wednesday, following four years' absence, following his detention in Benghazi, on November 13, 2017.
It further indicated that Al-Sinki’s family remained in the dark for approximately two and a half years regarding his disappearance, without knowledge of his whereabouts or reasons for his arrest and were denied any information regarding his general state of health.
