A group of gunmen belonging to a militia loyal to Khalifa Haftar has kidnapped the Chief of the Jufra Security Directorate, Ali Al-Triki, and other security officials, including his assistant Imhammed Al-Dabaa, A source from Hun said.
Brigadier General Ali Al-Triki was assigned as the chief of the Jufra Security Directorate by the Government of National Unity (GNU) in May 2021.
The source explained that the armed men affiliated with the so-called 128th Brigade attacked the security directorate on Friday, against the background of the latter's refusal to extradite an individual wanted by the parallel government headed by Fathi Bashagha.
