The High Council of State (HSC) has called on the new Prime Minister, Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah, to present his cabinet as soon as possible, urging the MPs to exercise the highest degree of responsibility and grant the government confidence.
The HCS call comes as the new government approaches the time limit set for presenting the new administration to the House of Representatives for approval, according to the UN road map.
The HCS affirmed its support for the National Unity Government to accomplish its tasks, the most important of which is holding elections next December as agreed upon in the Libyan Political Dialogue.
It also emphasized it would not interfere in the new PM's choices regarding who to include in his administration, expressing hope that the main pillar for choosing the cabinet would be standards of competence, integrity, and experience.
