The High Council of State (HCS) discussed during a consultative session yesterday the current situation in Tripoli and decided to commission members of the HCS from Misurata, Tripoli and Tarhuna to communicate with the parties of the conflict in order to reach a cease-fire.

The appointed members urged the Presidential Council (PC) to expedite the security arrangements and welcomed the outcome of the recent session of the House of Representatives, which included the vote on the referendum law and the mechanism for reshuffling the PC.

The HCS was unable to hold a formal session yesterday because of the lack of quorum.
