Deputy President of the High Council of State (HCS), Mohammad Muazab, revealed Saturday that consultations are taking place between the HCS and the Tobruk-based House of Representatives (HoR) in order to reach an agreement on the outstanding matters.

In a statement to the Russian news outlet Sputnik, Muazab explained that the consultations are being held away from the Presidential Council, considering that the two bodies will form a new Presidential Council, which will be limited to only 3 members, while the HoR will be entrusted with forming the government.

He further added that the UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, clarified that a new round of talks cannot be held before reaching consensus on all controversial points to achieve fruitful results.
