Member of the High Council of State (HCS), Najat Sharaf Al-Din has said that the former UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame had made a big mistake, by seeking international interests at the expense of the interest of Libya.

Sharaf Al-Din said that Salame failed to adhere to the political agreement.

"He lacked a clear mechanism in choosing the dialogue committees from the start, beginning from Ghadames until the Geneva talks," she explained.

HCS member expressed her hope that the new envoy would perform his duties away from international inducements, supporting the international legitimacy and the constitution implemented by the elected constituent assembly, so as Libyans could have their say.
