The High Council of State (HCS) has tasked its standing committee to begin meetings and discussions to reach practical solutions in the selection process of the names for the seven sovereign positions, in accordance with Article 15 of the Libyan Political Agreement.

Article 15 stipulates that the HCS, in accordance with the House of Representatives (HOR), shall appoint the incumbents of these positions, including who will be the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya and six other positions.

A letter signed by the Second Deputy President of the HCS, Mohammed Amazab, called on the standing committees to provide the HCS with the results they have reached in crystallizing a common vision for the HCS to work within an institutional framework that serves the public interest.
