An armed group loyal to Khalifa Haftar in Benghazi released the head of the administrative control authority of the east-based House of Representatives, Abdulsalam Al-Hassi.

Al-Hassi was arrested from Sunday night until Monday evening, without giving reasons for his detention.

The staff of the administrative control authority had organized a protest during which they announced the suspension of work until the release of Al-Hassi.
