The head of the Democracy and Human Rights Foundation, Imad El-Din El-Montaser, sent a letter to the US Administration, the European Union, and the United Nations, requesting them to investigate the acquisition of Haftar of US military equipment.

"Haftar is using US-made weapons to kill Libyans," El-Montaser explained in his letter, pointing out that the liberation of the city of Gharyan revealed the presence of large quantities of weapons, ammunition, and US-made missiles, which was used in the attack on Tripoli.

"Providing Haftar with these weapons is a clear violation of US laws and relevant Security Council resolutions that obliges member states to take the necessary actions to prevent the supply or sale of arms to Libya." El-Montaser explained.
