The head of Libya's Council for Reconciliation, Mohamed Al-Mubashir, called on the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aqailah Saleh, and the head of the High Council of State, Khaled Al-Mishri, to exert more efforts to reach an agreement that would preserve Libya and its unity.

"The adherence to partisan or regional interests will not build a homeland", Mubashir said in reaction to the planned meeting between the two officials in Morocco, underlining that this meeting differs from its predecessors and that the return from Morocco without an agreement poses a risk on the homeland and the Libyan people.

Sources confirmed that Aqailah Saleh will meet Khaled Al-Mishri during his visit to Morocco on Sunday to discuss the mechanism for amending the current proposed Presidential Council after the consultations held by members of the two councils during the past period.
