In a meeting with the British ambassador to Libya, Frank Baker, on Sunday, the Head of the High Council of State (HCS), Khalid Al-Mishri, said elections could be held in Libya by using the ruling articles of the constitution draft as a constitutional basis as required by Paris agreement of last May.

Al-Mishri added that the HCS could agree with the House of Representatives regarding the sovereign posts in Libya, pointing out the significance of supporting people’s living conditions by economic projects.

In the meantime, the British ambassador Frank Baker told Al-Mishri that there’s an economic Memorandum of Understanding for the provision of services to the Libyan people and it is ready for implementation, adding that it was proposed to the Presidential Council (PC) and that he hopes Al-Mishri would review it with the PC.
