The number of electoral cards delivered by the High National Elections Commission to voters totalled188,868 cards, at a rate of 90%, in preparation for the municipal elections in their first phase.
HNEC said in a statement on Sunday that the total number of male voters who received their cards was 132,368 voters, at a rate of 89% of registered males, while the number of female voters reached 56,500, or 92% of the total number of registered females.
Saturday was the last date announced by the HNEC to receive the voter card, after the first phase of the nomination process for the municipal council elections began on August 18.
