The head of the High National Electoral Commission (HNEC), Emad Al-Sayeh, has met with the German Ambassador, Michael Ohnamcht to discuss developments in the electoral process.
The two sides "discussed the latest developments in the course of the elections, and ways to support proposals that seek peace and stability in order to achieve the planned entitlements this year," a statement by the HNEC said.
Ohnmacht expressed his country's appreciation for the national efforts to keep the electoral process on track and confirmed its willingness to provide the technical and advisory support needed to create the appropriate environment for the proposed elections.
