The High National Elections Commission (HNEC) Chairman, Emad Al-Sayeh, met on Tuesday with representatives from organizations supporting people with disabilities to discuss methods to increase their participation in municipal council elections.
The talks, held in Tripoli, focused on mechanisms to boost involvement both as candidates and voters, underlining the importance of ensuring the rights of disabled individuals to run for office, whether individually or through a party list.
The meeting also reviewed previous recommendations and workshops aimed at enhancing accessibility for people with disabilities.
