HNEC President holds talks with German ambassador on election process
The Head of the High National Electoral Commission (HNEC), Imad Al-Sayeh, held discussions with the German Ambassador to Libya Oliver Owcza, on methods to overcome obstacles which are likely be faced in the electoral process.
The media office of the HNEC stated that both sides spoke about the many obstacles facing the electoral process, in a meeting held at the headquarters of the HNEC and how to cooperate on overcoming them.
They also spoke about the investment in the potential available to all parties in order to achieve the success that meets international standards for the running of elections.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the latest developments on the ground for the electoral process, which is due to take place in December, and the technical and advisory support which the German government could provide within the framework of the international community’s interest on the matter of security and stability in the region.
