First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Fawzi Al-Nuwairi, on Tuesday, convened a meeting at the Parliament's HQ in Tripoli that grouped several MPs to discuss the pressing issues in the Libyan political landscape.

A spokesman for the House of Representatives, Abdullah Belhaq, said the meeting reviewed developments in the constitutional track with an emphasis that the process must be accomplished as soon as possible.

They also discussed several proposals aimed at easing the ongoing political stalemate affecting the other tracks.

According to Belhaq, the meeting also touched upon the electoral process, including the laws regulating the process, the schedule, the draft constitution, and pragmatic solutions in this regard.
