The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the House of Representatives (HoR), Youssef Al-Aqouri, has discussed with the Italian Consul in Benghazi Francesco De Luigi the facilitation of travel procedures for Libyan citizens and the file of marine fishing between the two countries, in addition to joint cooperation programs.

During the meeting, Al-Aqouri stressed the importance of the presence of the Italian consulate in the city of Benghazi, and the need to develop a program to support the teaching of the Italian language in Libyan schools.

He also stressed the need to work on the Libyan-Italian Treaty of Friendship, as well as the resumption of work on the coastal road linking east and west, pointing to the importance of following up on the file of Libyan youth imprisoned in Italy.
