Members of the House of Representatives (HoR) in Tripoli refused an invitation by the Egyptian government to hold a consultative session in Cairo.

The members explained that their objection comes for the ambiguity of the objectives and agenda of the meeting and for having being invited individually rather than collectively.

The HoR members also pointed out to the Egyptian government support to Haftar, who is committing aggression against the legitimacy and the values of the civil state.

The Council stressed that the outcomes of the meeting will only represent those who convened the meeting and does not reflect the vision of the HoR in Tripoli.
