The Libyan House of Representatives (HoR) has postponed its upcoming session due to the death of one of its members, MP Abdul Salam Al-Marabit, according to a statement from the House’s spokesperson, Abdullah Bliheq.

The session, initially scheduled for this week, was expected to address several legislative items. The postponement follows a call last Thursday by House Speaker Aguila Saleh to convene midweek.

The last official session of the HoR took place on August 20, during which lawmakers voted to revoke the appointment of Mohammed Al-Shukri as Governor of the Central Bank.
