A delegation from the House of Representatives has taken part in the 145th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), hosted by the Rwandan capital, Kigali.

The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Fawzi Al-Nuiri, stated that there is a problem in African positions within the IPU towards issues of the continent, negatively affecting the solution of those problems.

He pointed out that the possibility of overcoming these difficulties and problems comes through unifying the views and proposals of the African Group.

During its meeting, the Committee on United Nations Affairs addressed the United Nations response to increasing hunger and famine and the United Nations field presence in support of development.
