Speaker of the House of Representatives Aqila Saleh on Tuesday said that the observations of the MPs on the uniform salary bill would be put forward to the legislative and financial committees, who should respond to the House before the end of this month.

On Tuesday's Parliament session, held in Benghazi, Saleh disclosed that the MPs' observations focused on the need for the salary increase to be accompanied by a similar rise in the salaries of retirees in the same proportion and degree.

The minimum wage was set at 1,000 dinars with a maximum not exceeding an amount to be determined later.

The MPs also emphasized the necessity of reviewing Schedule 1 of the draft law, as well as restructuring the administrative apparatus.
