The Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Aqila Saleh met in Qubba town in eastern Libya a number of High Council of State's (HCS) members and discussed bridging the gap regarding the constitutional track.

HoR spokesman Abdullah Blehiq said the meeting saw a discussion on the need to reach an intra-Libyan consensus that ends the current period and leads Libya to stability.

The meeting came as the capital Tripoli was seeing heavy clashes in a new attempt by the HoR-designated Prime Minister Fathi Bashagha tried to enter the capital by force.
